All Solano County Students ages 14 - 18 are eligible to enter. Deadline is October 15, 2007

Youth must address either “What does Peace mean to YOU?” or
“How can YOU contribute to PEACE in our community?”

Three Contest Categories are available:
Literature: Essay or Poetry ~ no more than 250 words
Art: Drawing, Painting, Photography or Collage
Multimedia: Music or Film

Prizes: The following will be given for each category for a total of $3,000!
First Place Winners in each category: $500
Second Place Winners in each category: $300
Third Place Winners in each category: $200

How to Enter: Rules and entry forms can be downloaded from www.PeaceJamSolano.org All entries must have a fully filled out entry form with parent/guardian signature. Incomplete entries will not qualify. Send or drop off during regular business hours, signed forms and entries to:

Judging: The Peace Contest entries will be judged by a distinguished panel of judges.

Winners will be announced at the PeaceJam Peace Contest Awards Dinner on Saturday, November 10th at the Fairfield Community Center, where entries will be on display. Selected entries will be featured in the 2008 PeaceJam Calendar.

Awards Dinner: All friends, parents and family members of entrants are encouraged to attend. Tickets for this exciting PeaceJam Solano Awards Dinner on November 10th are: youth, $5.00 each and adults, $25.00 each. Dinner scholarships are available.
